愛主之人
讀經 : 馬太福音 22 : 34~40 Matthew 22 : 34~40

22:34 法利賽人聽見耶穌堵住了撒都該人的口，他們就聚集。
But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
22:35 內中有一個人是律法師，要試探耶穌，就問他說：
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question , tempting him, and saying,
22:36 夫子，律法上的誡命，那一條是最大的呢？
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
22:37 耶穌對他說：你要盡心、盡性、盡意愛主─你的　神。
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
22:38 這是誡命中的第一，且是最大的。
This is the first and great commandment.
22:39 其次也相倣，就是要愛人如己。
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
22:40 這兩條誡命是律法和先知一切道理的總綱。
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

在聖芳濟的簡傳裡，柴斯特頓（G.K Chesterton）讓我們一瞥這位出生於十二世紀，獨特可貴、富有同情心之人所懷的心腸。
柴斯特頓寫道：「就像聖芳濟並非只空談愛人類，而是真實地去愛人，正如他不喜愛宗教，卻愛基督。……讀者甚至很難理解聖芳濟，他的生平看似毫無章法。除非讀者能體會到：對聖芳濟而言，他所信的不是一種理論，而是一種發自內心的摯愛。」
當有人問耶穌律法上的誡命，哪一條是最大的時候，祂回答說

馬太福音 22 : 37~38 Matthew 22 : 37~38
22:37 耶穌對他說：你要盡心、盡性、盡意愛主─你的　神。
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
22:38 這是誡命中的第一，且是最大的。
This is the first and great commandment.

發問的人想要試探耶穌，耶穌卻舉出討上帝喜悅的關鍵所在。在我們與上帝之間的關係之中，佔第一位和最重要的，乃是我們的心。
如果我們把上帝視為監工，將順服祂當作一項重擔。那麼，我們就是和那些被祂所責備的人一樣，祂說：

啟示錄 2 : 4 Revelation 2 : 4

然而有一件事我要責備你，就是你把起初的愛心離棄了。
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
盡心、盡性、盡意愛主，是喜樂的祕訣。DCM

求主幫助，因祢聖潔恩典，
賜下更多，祢的浩大深愛；
日復一日，我心更深愛祢，
日漸增長，全心全意愛祢。Mountain

置基督於首位，真喜樂永相隨。
