讀經 : 詩篇 121 : 1~8 Psalms 121 : 1~8

121:1 （上行之詩。）我要向山舉目；我的幫助從何而來？
A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. I will...: or, Shall I lift up mine eyes to the hills? whence should my help come?121:2 我的幫助從造天地的耶和華而來。
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
121:3 他必不叫你的腳搖動；保護你的必不打盹！
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
121:4 保護以色列的，也不打盹也不睡覺。
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
121:5 保護你的是耶和華；耶和華在你右邊蔭庇你。
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
121:6 白日，太陽必不傷你；夜間，月亮必不害你。
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
121:7 耶和華要保護你，免受一切的災害；他要保護你的性命。
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
121:8 你出你入，耶和華要保護你，從今時直到永遠。
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

在十九世紀中期，私家偵探艾倫‧平克頓（Allan Pinkerton）聲名大噪，因為他偵破了一連串的火車搶劫案，並在林肯總統前往首任就職典禮的途中，阻止了一樁刺殺總統的密謀。身為美國偵探社的先驅之一，平克頓國家偵探社更因其商標聞名，那是一隻睜得晶亮的眼睛，下面鐫著「我們從不睡覺」的字樣。

當知道自己受到保護，並且非常安全時，真是太好了！當夜深人靜、房門鎖好，能沉沉睡去，心裡便充滿了平安。然而，也有很多人在床上輾轉難眠，為了現在或未來的事情煩躁擔憂、充滿恐懼；有些人害怕著外頭的暴動、或者會施暴的配偶；有些人因擔心著叛逆的孩子而無法安眠；還有些人焦慮地豎起耳朵，只為確保重病的孩子仍在呼吸。

正是在這些時刻，我們慈愛的上帝鼓勵我們向祂呼告求助，因為祂是「也不打盹也不睡覺」（詩篇121篇4節）的那一位。

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

平克頓或許首創了從不睡覺的「私家偵探之眼」，但唯有上帝才真的不闔眼，從不打盹，也不睡覺，祂正在聆聽「義人」的呼求。

34:17 義人呼求，耶和華聽見了，便救他們脫離一切患難。The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. CHK
